Pharmacy Technician
The technicians are responsible for preparing customer or patient prescriptions. To do this, they have to count, pour, measure and mix the prescription. Then the pharmacy technicians pick the type of containers to be used and attach the labels to them. All the filled prescriptions must be given to the pharmacists to be verified.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, once checked and approved, pharmacy technicians have to file and price to the prescriptions.
The pharmacy technicians who work in assisted-living facilities, hospitals and nursing homes have additional duties. They are responsible for delivering medications to doctors and nurses and preparing sterile solutions, according to BLS.
